India's CAD may stand at 3–3.2% of GDP, says CEA

As per Chief Economic Advisor (CEA), V Anantha Nageswaran, India's current account deficit predicts to be 3% to 3.2% of GDP for FY23 due to growing domestic economic activity and a rise in oil import costs. He did emphasize that the country's external sector is still strong. The current account balance of India showed a deficit of 1.2% of GDP in 2021–22 compared to a surplus of 0.9% in 2020–21.
