India Blocks Chinese Cameras at Highway Tollgates over Data Concerns

India is replacing cheaper China-made high-speed cameras at highway tolls with American, German, & Taiwanese suppliers due to security concerns about surveillance capabilities. Officials have been directed to avoid Chinese technology and are replacing existing cameras. Three companies, VIVOTEK, Robert Bosch and Motorola Solutions, have been shortlisted to supply about 1,150 toll collection sites.
