Income tax refund: How long does it take to pre-validate a bank account?

Taxpayers must pre-validate their bank account to be eligible for an income tax refund, which can be done through the e-Filing portal. A validated account enables EVC for e-Verification. Multiple bank accounts can be pre-validated, and one account can be nominated for refund. The process takes 10-12 working days, and taxpayers will receive an email and SMS notification after successful validation.
