The shares of BHEL dropped over 1% on April 24 after a massive fire broke out at its Bhopal unit. Notably, the company's Bhopal plant is among the oldest heavy electrical equipment manufacturing plants in the country. Visuals shared by ANI showed massive smoke coming out the premises. Production is likely to be impacted at the plant, which pushed the shares down to Rs 227 apiece.
