Shares of HEG Ltd. and Graphite India Ltd. surged up to 18% after Japan imposed a 95.2% anti-dumping duty on Chinese graphite electrode exports, effective March 29. This followed a probe revealing China's unfairly low prices harming Japanese firms. Japan's 60,000-tonne market, 25% supplied by China, may see price hikes, with Chinese producers already raising HP-grade prices by 7%.
