Goldman Sachs has recruited Jaehoon Ahn, a former Morgan Stanley staffer, to lead its investment banking business in South Korea as a managing director. Ahn will co-lead the country and branch with Jae Joon Choi. Goldman Sachs has invested over $4.7 billion in Korea since 1999 and has around 100 employees in its Seoul office. The firm ranked first in advising M&A deals in Korea this year.
