Davos meeting founder Klaus Schwab steps down as World Economic Forum chair

Klaus Schwab, 87, founder of the World Economic Forum, has resigned as chair of its board of trustees, effective immediately. Vice Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe will serve as interim chairman, with a committee formed to appoint a future chair. Schwab established the WEF in 1971 to address global issues, though it has faced criticism for being elitist.
