The government has re-appointed T. Rabi Sankar as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India for a period of one year with effect from May 3, the central bank said on Wednesday. Sankar, a career central banker who joined the RBI in 1990, was initially appointed as Deputy Governor on May 3, 2021 for a three-year period. Prior to his elevation as Deputy Governor, Sankar was an Executive Director.
