CD ratio of Indian banks was over 100% in 6 states, Economic Survey finds

The credit-deposit (CD) ratio of Indian banks in six states - Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana -- remained above 100 percent by the end of financial year 2023-24, according to Economic Survey 2024 data. CD ratio reflects the proportion of funds raised by banks through deposits that have been utilised for lending.
