Banking stocks may see further upside after RBI eases LCR norms: analyst

The Reserve Bank of India has eased liquidity norms, enhancing the banking sector's aggregate Liquidity Coverage Ratio by 600 basis points. Effective April 2026, the new guidelines release ₹3-3.5 lakh crore in liquidity, supporting loan growth and margins. Brokerages view this positively, benefiting banks, particularly those with higher trust deposits and outflow rates.
