Active equity mutual funds' cash holdings top May 2023 highs

Active equity funds continued to sit on cash piles in October as cash holding as a percentage of category assets reached 4.91 percent, the highest level since May 2023, showed data available with Prime Database MF. Active equity mutual funds had combined assets under management (AUM) of around Rs 30 lakh crore crore as of October end.
